The first colonists arrived on its coast; the first cities were built from its forests, and the first sparks of freedom rose there as the founding fathers crafted laws for the nation they desired. Massachusetts is also the birthplace of some of the country’s finest writers, a land caressed by the waters of the Atlantic and ennobled by capitals like Boston, the most European, literary and cultured city in the nation. Writer Laura Riñón Sirera traverses this wide territory, narrating her impressions in ten letters to illustrator Patricia Bolaños, who brings color to this adventure.
